CSV are a cool concept. Not so much any standard but rather a text doc where values are separated by commas. Sometimes banks use them and its hell to format them for Excel. Sometimes its just a list of readable words and values.

I had to build a Twitch Bot to add banned words in a CSV to a black list a while back, wish they would just let you copy paste like YT does.

  • None of them have language beyond associating a small number of specific sounds or words to objects or events but I would bet my legs just above the knee down that Dolphins monologue “Squee-aww” when they spot a scuba diver. Dogs definitely daydream about you calling their name when you’re away for a long time. If they couldn’t in some way internalize the call then they would not remember it.

EDIT: To add onto my claim that they don’t have language beyond a certain level, that’s what we’ve been able to prove so far. We know that some of the smarter animals, such as dolphins, crows, and gorillas can understand quite a few words with daily training and even use and pass down taught language to limited capacity, but the longest experiments for complex languages with these animals have all resulted in “failure” to teach them or learn from them to the extent of being able to have conversations or form complex statements.

  • I guess but it doesn’t really solve many problems. Much more importantly, every company should be held to strict standards by a democratic institution of laws.

    For examples:

    1. Both workers rights and pay rates need to be regulated to a bare minimum, because there will always be cases of some people (or groups of people) who try to abuse others and work around the rules. Example: Uber skirts employee benefits by not having “employees”, large companies have “subsidiary companies”, etc.

    2. Even if a company of 500 people always look out for themselves and each other, they might still become a detriment to the larger society or hostile towards similar companies.

Having both tight regulatory bodies and strong union/cooperatives are fine, but regulation comes first imo.
