This… Just seems like documentation about K type reproductive strategies vs R type.
Except they’ve taken K vs R and added some weird conservative “women are for breeding” undertones.

I’m almost positive these are AI gen. They don’t look at all like the Dracula Simia I’ve seen.
Yeah Jerry it’s definitely the jokes and certainly had nothing to do with you dating a 17 year old at 38.
Sure it’s the college that is blowing things out of proportion…
Define expensive?
Because labor isn’t the main cost of fast food as far as I’m aware. Doubling the wage of laborers saw only modest price changes in places that hiked minimum wage… Despite franchise owners being able to set their own prices.
McDonald’s near me in NYC is more expensive than Alabama, sure - but it’s not double the price. ~$20 for 2 people to have 2 large meals with drinks is eminently reasonable.
Ain’t gonna happen. Valve is all in on their new hero shooter
It will make murder legal for him, depending on how the Supreme Court rules on the presidential immunity case. Which they’re conspicuously refusing to do before the election.
If they ruled presidents had immunity it would literally make murder legal: Biden could legally murder Trump and only face impeachment. No criminal proceedings could be brought against him.
They’re obviously not ruling on it now. Cynically one could argue that they’re going to change the ruling depending on who wins. If Biden wins reelection then they’ll rule that presidents have legal limits. If he loses then they expand the power of the dictatorship.
I’m not positive I’m understanding your term naturalistic but no neuroscientist would say “we are just neurons”. Similarly no neuroscientist would deny that neurons are a fundamental part of consciousness and thought.
You have plenty of complex chemical processes interacting with your brain constantly - the neurons there aren’t all of who you are.
But without the neurons there: you aren’t anyone anymore. You cease to live. Destroying some of those neurons will change you fundamentally.
There’s no disputing this.
I think I was mistaken on that point. They’re not publicly doing that - just selling ads.
No way in hell they’d ever argue data privacy.
That’s only for apple to pretend to care about while selling your data to brokers.
The only time I feel like an anonymous fish is when I’m in a huge city - when there are so many people every individual becomes invisible. It’s great.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs - specifically the ones for Easter. Those things are insanely easy for me to eat 2000 calories of.
When Apple offers small phones nobody buys them (see iPhone 13 mini)
When Android companies offer thick phones they lose out to the latest thin Samsung.
The phone manufacturers aren’t idiots - they do a lot of research into what will sell the most phones.
Battery life and thick < thin.
It’s not what actual consumers prefer though.
People can say that all they want but the marketing facts are that the thinner phones have consistently won out.
Congrats: you just proved you’re not the average consumer.
6 months of time is effectively 24 hours in a corporation that large.
Great write-up!
It’s super important that we add methane flaring wherever we can but it seems like minimal extra effort to save the birds from this kind of hazard.
Attempt at changing your mind:
It’s not desert solarpunk because solarpunk implies a hopefulness for the future that does not exist in Dune.
Dune and Dune Messiah are tragic cautionary tales which warn against religion and the great man myth. It is supposed to warn the reader that religions take a life of their own and become a tiger that you can grab by the tail, but can never let go of.
On top of that it’s talking about oil as spice. If anything: it’s diesel punk just with an abstraction around the diesel.
Mint has issues if you’re in cities: you get deprioritized on busy towers like a T-Mobile customer who has gone over their maximum data.
I’m actually switching off mint this cycle because it’s bad enough in NYC as to be unusable during peak commute times - which is when I want data most.
A fat predator is a happy predator. 20,000 years of success
Melting polar ice is releasing CFCs back into the air, exacerbating the problem.
