My wife would LOVE It, unfortunately since we got it set up, she’s been fighting a wounded foot and can’t get it wet. :(

        Maybe 4 more weeks?

Well those communities make up like half of my posts, so I feel like you’re everywhere lol. If I skip the news community and the ones I mod, I think almost all my posts go to your communities. Mostly just politics ig

Chances are low I’ll do that, I paint for myself. I like painting models since it is analog and I work on a computer all day. It’s an activity that I do for my own benefit thus I’m reluctant to share with the public for fear of losing that feeling of self fulfillment. I’m also a far better painter than a photographer.

Edit: Your genestealers are coming along nicely.

          Thanks so much!

If you ever change your mind, the 40k community here is very relaxed. I love seeing projects, and can give (wanted) tips on either painting or photos at least within my skill level.

Go out and socialize. I was lucky to have met someone at a party that ended up as my life partner. But it wasn’t without me getting out of my comfort zone. I’d never asked anyone out on a date before. My two relationships before then happened because the other party asked me out. First one broke up with me after 5 months, probably thought I was boring. Second one divorced me after 12 years. (Married young, she turned out to be very weird as we grew older, and I didn’t have the balls to end it for fear of being alone and hurting her.)

Literally one or two weeks after divorce was finalized I met this girl at a party at a mutual friend’s place and I said to myself, there’s literally no time to waste if you want to be happy. You gotta grab these opportunities. Gotta seize’em. Ask her out! Nothing to lose!

So I did. A day later on Facebook. 🫣 But she said yes and here we are with two kids.

Go out there! Get yours! ❤️

Hey I’ve definitely been in your place before. What got me learning coding skills was motivation for a career change, a platform that worked for me (Udemy), and accepting my failed attempts. Small bursts of motivation are more than what most people have. Utilizing them when they come on are opportunities to get a lot done in short periods of time. Don’t dedicate yourself to paths that don’t appeal to you, half the fun is figuring out what kind things make you tick.

As far as wanting to be dead, existentialism is always a painful bitch. Reading Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations helped me alot. It doesn’t take away pain, but can help cultivate core reasons for one’s actions. That helps with existing, at least for me.

      Don’t beat yourself up.

I’m currently taking a dump in the state of Georgia USA. (My home state)

I wish I was taking a dump in a mansion on the French Riviera.

As someone who has taken dumps in mansions in both the state of Georgia and the French Riviera, I agree. Costs a lot more in the French Riviera, though.

My friend, as soon as the bathroom door closes the outside world exists entirely in your imagination. You can be taking a dump on the Rocinante if that’s what your heart desires.

Grumpily observing the ampere app on two devices I’m charging simultaneously, disappointed the charging brick isn’t living up to its hype of 67W. Yes, I even pulled out the converter website because the app provides both mA and voltage.

I could be snuggling cats. Spooning my girlfriend. Settling in for the night, but, alas. I was promised “super fast charging” and only got “fast charging”.

I wish I was surfing but the sets are like, 10 ft faces. That’s way out of my weight class. So instead I’m still working.

If you’re handy, I encourage you to look into changing your own. Biggest hurdle for me personally was knowing where to drop off old oil. Also, fumoto valves. Game changer.

Playing game on my pc. I’d rather be doing something I haven’t done before like go drinking all night, travel, go sight seeing, hell, even have sex. Literally anything other than sit at this computer

My only other options are sitting and reading or sitting and watching TV. Just one of the benefits of living in the middle of nowhere

It definitely helped me a lot more than I expected. I got diagnosed with depression about 2 months ago and made a point of leaving the house at least once a day, even if it’s just taking out the trash or going to get groceries. A walk around the block is even better, but I get that it’s difficult to actually do that every day. But having accomplished something, even if it’s just a tiny goal, made me feel better.

Glad you’re feeling better. I can’t quite say the same but I know it’s a process. So, after hearing that maybe I’ll try it out. Get some coffee somewhere outside of the house, walk. If you can do it then I can do it
