A country which doesn’t invest in its infrastructure while it’s wealthy will eventually find itself no longer wealthy and unable to afford to fix it.

They absolutely serve purpose in nature, they are a significant food source for bats and many other insects and males are pollinators.
Fenix makes a few that are like what you’re looking for, I have two, one has one big button on the back and one on the side, the back button is a simple on off and the side button cycles the power settings, if you hold down on the smaller side button it goes to strobe instantly. The other is basically the same but both buttons are on the back and the smaller button toggles strobe by pressing it when the flashlight is off vs cycles power settings when the flashlight is on. I only buy flashlights that are set up like this or similar. I need to be able to access strobe instantly and I need to be able to turn it on and off at a low power setting without turning on the fire of a thousand suns to get there.
What the fuck are you talking about? Stealing from a corporation and stealing from people is absolutely not the same. Corporations are not people I can’t believe we still have to argue this point.
Also of course the law takes the merit of the victim into account. Half of all homicide victims are black but in 75% of executions for homicide the victim was white. And how many of those do you think were homeless or sex workers? Don’t be ridiculous, the law is not applied equally for victims or for defendants. Assaulting a cop, on duty or not is not treated the same as assaulting a BIPOC sex worker. Every goddamn time there’s a mass shooting or another cop kills another black person why is the first thing they do to try to find some evidence of dirt on the victims regardless of the relevance to the actual case. You are living in a dream world.
Also… What the hell are you coming at me for about this? I never even argued the ACTUAL SENTENCING was unreasonable?!? (I think it’s unjust, but not unreasonable, but I said nothing of that in my comment). I just thought it was batshit insane that you were out for blood for this person and felt they should go away for half a fucking generation for “grand shoplifting”
Lol, America has more legal slaves than it did before the civil war and has higher incarceration rate than anywhere and you want to lock someone up for a decade for non-violent property crime where the only victim is a multibillion dollar corporation that she stole less than 100k from.
https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/target Here’s records of target having stolen 185 million dollars mostly from the American public, how long do you think anyone was in prison for that? Do you think any penalty there even meaningfully affected any executive or major shareholders life?
More forward thinking companies would realize that if they offered reduced price upgrades or even free upgrades to regulars not only will you have grateful customers but you might just hear the magic words “I could get used to this”
To be clear, both will drag you into a back alley and pull a shiv on you though.
Grammar lesson, an is used when the following word starts with a vowel SOUND not just a vowel. Ubisoft starts with a consonant y sound and should not be preceded with an. That is why this sentence reads a little weird and the professional writers who wrote this headline should have known this, (it’s also possible they though Ubisoft was pronounced OOH-BEE-SOFT but not knowing that seems more unforgivable for a gaming journalist)
EDIT: I AM INCORRECT. I misread the French IPA pronunciation of Ubisoft and have been mispronouncing Ubisoft. The journalist is correct.
I think discussing the emerging field of plant based and synthetic replication of a carnivores diet using real research is pretty clear cut not animal abuse just because it can be animal abuse if not done carefully and because you say so. (Also, I’m not a vegan and I have never fed my cat vegan food, you guys are just obnoxious though)
Yeah, it’s just called bombing, one way or another you’ll get your antidepressants paid for.
I started using complex fiber supplements (as in whole dried ground foods with multiple sources and types of fiber) about a month ago, honestly life changing, cannot recommend enough.
Cissplaining really
Ok, I should clarify, unfortunately I am someone who needs a navigation app that is able to know public transit schedules and routes. Offline is generally not gonna work as it’s vital to have up to date info on rescheduling and rerouting.
Alright, what’s the next best navigation app to switch to if they actually pull this shit?
Well, this is the weirdest shit I’ve ever read.
Giraffe, why are you gay?
Disclaimer: Pepe Julian Onziema is an absolute legend and hero and is based in Kenya’s neighbor Uganda, not actually Kenya, but THAT interview is a source of joy for me and jumped to my head.
That sounds incredibly pulled out of someone’s ass.
Literally in the second sentence of the article “opt-in”
If it’s so decentralized, where are all the local communities? I know, I know, it needs to get bigger, but still. The lack of niche and local communities and even localized instances is a major weakness.
