MyPillow CEO, 2020 election denier, and alternative Covid-treatment champion Mike Lindell says he is “99% there” on committing to run for Governor of Minnesota.

The Star Tribune reported that Lindell has moved his residency from Texas to his native Land of 10,000 Lakes and has polled hypothetical matchups between himself and Governor Tim Walz, who is running for a third term. Lindell—who does not believe the outcome of most recent elections, even the ones Trump won—previously floated gubernatorial runs in 2018 and 2022 that ultimately never materialized.

He announced he was “considering” a 2026 run in March, saying to potential opponents, “Well, what are they going to do? ‘Well, Mike Lindell, you know he was a crack addict?’ Yeah, what else you got?” Lindell has openly discussed recovering from cocaine and crack addiction as he built MyPillow.

So, for people not in Minnesota… our breed of GOP is particularly nuts.

Last race, it was Scott Jensen who was the least nuts.

Good news: His lumpy pillow company sucks so hard that they got evicted from their warehouse, and almost got evicted from the main production plant. Also I’m pretty sure he still owes that kid money.

He’s going to be campaigning against Walz. Probably not going to do well. We like Walz. Walz is awesome.

Hope it works out. Trump administration is actively trying to fuck with voter rights and most likely working towards rigging elections for MAGA sycophants.

Cheers for the explanation. I just saw old[er] white man and was gonna say “I bet Minnesotans are incredibly excited for his take on right wing”.

Why not? Apparently in America politics is a convenient avenue for grifters and criminals to escape consequences.

“Well, what are they going to do? ‘Well, Mike Lindell, you know he was a crack addict?’ Yeah, what else you got?”

Wow. This guy thinks the most objectionable thing about him, the only ammo to be used against him, is his drug addiction. This guy has no self awareness at all.

QAnon Anonymous did a great retrospective of Mike Lindell’s life. The dude is and has always been like a cartoon character. He has had serious problems with cocaine, sex, and gambling and has the classic profile of an addict who constantly lies to cover their trail but who is comedically bad at lying. Despite hitting rock bottom and bankruptcy over and over again over decades, the guy keeps finding a way out. Highly recommend that QAA episode.

Also he was just found liable for defamation against Smartmatic by a judge, this is certainly just his attempt to confuse the incoming news cycle.

I will never understand the need for rich people to brag about how rich they are.

and I’m skeptical musk is in fact the richest person in the world. Lots of old money in the world, with people who know the value of privacy. They just let him take the blame for why we can’t have nice things.

Musk probably thinks it means people approve of and respect him in some odd way, and sits in the corner wanking over this “popularity”.

That’s probably exactly what this is for. Raise a bunch of campaign donations, which you then use to pay for your lifestyle just like Trump did.

Where is he getting the money for this run? Hasn’t he been sued into oblivion, many times over?

He looks like he should be playing El Presidente in a Hulu comedy series loosely based on Tropico.
